Today I finally start wakeboarding with ZeroOff, I have about 12 hours on the boat and on my second day out wakeboard after the initial 10 hour break in.

first of all I could not get the setting point saved in the Cruise Setup... I had to change the setting point from the Cruise Gauge Screen then click Save to get the speed setting changed.

Second after I get the speed set ZeroOff engaged the boat is really jerky rpm goes up and down trying to stay within the speed i have set, the passengers thought the computer is screwed while Im back there wakeboarding with the perfect speed and wake size... Does the jerkiness part of the ZeroOff?

Conditions:
15c
slight chop(the picture shows the beginning of the day before the wind starts blowing)
No other boats around
Small beach bay on the shore

I sue hope it's operator error.I pick up our LINK SYSTEM in a few weeks {new boat} Zero Off had a problem and took two years for them to fix with a new antenna and soft ware. I bought it to their attention summer 2007 and the spring of 2009 they finally excepted they had a faulty product and came out with a fix. It corrected the problem.

It is my first ZeroOff product or any kind of cruise control system I have is there anything I should pay attention in order to operate this correctly?

Based on want you are saying is happening it does not seem to be a general product problem like ZeroOff had, make sure your weight {ballast} is spread evenly , front to back, do you have this problem all the time you pull some one or they pull you ?

Its my first time using ZeroOff while riding, second day riding with my new boat... so I have not had much experience yet...

Didnt use ballast, and only having 4 ppl in the boat...

My suggestion would be to talk with your dealer, sounds like a warranty issue. Like to know the outcome when it's fixed.

Can someone show me how their ZeroOff works?

I will try to take a video of how the rpm jerks around on my boat... I dont think there is another ZeroOff Nautique over here that I can compare to yet...

You do understand that ZO will cause the RPM's to surge somewhat, correct? That's how it keeps the speed over the water constant. It shouldn't be too excessive, but you will certainly hear and feel it in the boat.
