On a keyless igniton SN 196 and the new 200 they have a bilge switch beside the passenger. My boat is on a covered lift
after use so the bilge is never left on. My boat would get used only on the weekends and it sits unused from mon- thur.
Last year my battery would be dead if i did not put the bilge switch to all OFF position when I finished using the boat for the weekend.
From what I read in the new 200 manual the keyless ignition and some serial switch(not sure what that is) drains the battery.
My battery in my 196 03 is the origional, so Im thinking its just getting weak. Just wondering if anyone else turns the switch to OFF when they leave the boat sit for a few days. When I get my new 200 Im trying to figure out if I should leave it off or not worry about it till my battery starts to get weak after a few years. Any thoughts on this?
