Hi Guys, two weeks ago it was fine, had some rain since then and now the electrics are dead. Battery is good as are battery connections, Motor turns by shorting starter. My keypad has nver been programed, I only need to push start, once, then again for ignition ON, usually hear fuel pumps run and instruments come alive. Now NOTHING! (except faint green light on left hand side of START button) RHS does not come ON. Could it be the safety circuit or switch (dead mans switch), would that display these symtoms? I have already been under the dash and inside the Pod, now looks like I need to tear out the side console. Appreciate any advice or tips to trouble-shoot. Cheers Greg

Hi, I dealed with this last year and it was a drawn out ordeal that I really never figured out. I have a 2001 SAN and just like boutwell_43 it rained one day and then the next day nothing. Batteries good, amps on battery are good, fuse is good, power switch is good, but everything's dead. White Lake sent a keypad and we put it in and it immediately worked. Then after about 10 minutes it was dead again. So we had to take the boat 3 hours to White Lake and put in a new fuse box, and once again it worked for about 10 minutes. David couldn't have been more helpful but we just couldn't figure it out then so I left the boat. Needless to say about 3 days later everything worked like it should. So we took the boat back home and the keypad has worked fine. About a week later though we did have the other keypad stop working, the one on the right hand side. Since you say you have a faint green light I think you probably have about the same problem my right keypad did. It didn't work for about 4 days but this time I just let it be and sure enough it works again but the lights are a little faint and the backlight won't come on.
So here's what I'm thinking.
You have the same problem as me and boutwell_43 both did and you can either drop the money on the keypad, which hopefully in your case will be the end all fix all for the problem, but I would say you could just try to dry it out the best you can if it's had some sort of moisture under the dash. It is pretty annoying knowing you have a boat dash you can't get really wet. I wish I could find a definitive fix for this problem just so I wouldn't have to worry about it.
I've really got a feeling that it might not just be the keypad, but something else under the dash that moisture is getting too that is causing the problems.
Hope this helps.

Sounds the same as the problem I had with my 2000 SN last year. It ended up being the keypad (I got the replacement through White Lake also). Interestingly enough, I was able to get it to work for a couple of days by pulling the keypad out of the panel and twisting it – no kidding. Worked after that for two days until I could get the replacement.
My keypad has four numeric buttons with two small LEDs on either side of buttons. With a good keypad the right LED lights up when I push any of the numeric keys. When my keypad was flaking out, the light would not light up.

Thanks for the input guys, does seem to point to the keypad. I am suspicious of the console wiring because the radio has cut out if I hit a big wave. Can anyone say what if anything is alive when the dead man switch is activated? I'm working on it today and will report later. Cheers Greg

Safety cct checked out OK, two purple wires. Now I decided on the yeypad which I have dismantled and cleaned with IPA, however it appeared to be clean and PCB is sealed with varnish. I will refit tomorrow and retry. I read on another post to check the small ground wire on the battery negative and as I just replaced the negative battery terminal this just might be my problem...attaching some pics of the keypad opened. Cheers Greg

my 00 210 did this
Check you small glass fuse back at the battery. It is the type of holder that pushes together. If it starts to come lose it will melt down and you will lose all power. It was intermitent on mine as we ran double ups the boat would die and a few minutes later fire up again. I thought it was te keypad but the price led me to look elsewhere. I found the bad fuse harness and soldered in a new one problem solved for 6 bucs.
Good luck,
Dave00 SAN 210 (previous boat)
07 236 te sold
