steering wheel model 206 year 2007

From being perfectly ok,overnight my steering wheel has become very hard to turn, as if a steering lock is on.

Could it be the cable is trapped somewhere, does it feed past any parts near the engine compartment, i.e could be trapped against anything

The boat is kept in saltwater and has 350 hrs and is used very regularly

any thought cheers

My bet is that it is time to replace the cable. Seems a little early, but being in salt, it isn't too surprising.

Have you ever greased the rudder? There is a remote Zerk fitting in the trunk of the boat, mine is behind a black plastic cover just below the lift ring.
