    Experiencing heavy vibrations

About a week ago I started noticing slightly abnormal vibrations on my Air 216. I took a look at the prop and saw nothing. Yesterday I went out wakeboarding and the vibrations were pretty bad so I took it out and the prop was bent. At the tip of one of the blades it is bent about a half inch. I'll get a picture up hopefully tomorrow. I assume this is the cause of my problem. Is the only option to get a new prop?
    Thanks

You can get the propeller fixed, should cost less than 100.00. Look for a prop shop in your area or you can send your prop to Midwest Propellers. They did a great job with my props.

Johnson Propellors (OJ) in Tennessee also did a great rebuild for me.

I went to the dock to take pics of the prop when I got home but it was too dark and you couldnt tell anything from the pics. It's the tip of a blade and I'm wondering just how much vibrations this could cause because what I'm experiencing is pretty harsh but I dont know what else it could be.

If the prop is bent a 1/2 inch I think you found the problem. It's unbalanced now and the bent blade is not putting out the same thrust as the others. Could cause an alignment problem if you run it much like that. Might want to buy a new prop and fix the old one for a spare.

it sounds like you found the problem. but i forgot to tighten the the bolts that couple the trans and the shaft together, after my motor rebuild. 3 of them fell out, talk about serious vibration
