Got some time yesterday to go through just about everything on our new 236.went to turn on the blower only an audible click the blower does not come on.the light on the keypad button does not come on either. When I turn on the interior lights the blower comes on as does the light on the keypad for the blower.the blower only comes on and off with the interior lights.I know how to check for power at the switch and the blower.I was more wondering how to get the keypad off and if I need to get into the brain or computer of the boat for this. Also noticed the hinges on the sundeck locker doors are major pieces of S*%#.You need to hold and raise the doors in a certain fashion or I am sure it will end up cracking the fiberglass on the engine hatch.I would just take it to the dealer for warranty but the closest one is a few hours from my house. If anyone has any suggestions or has info on these problems your input would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you've figured a way around the blower problem. Before you jump into the electronics (and possibly void your warranty), consider this: A new Nautique is entitled to a free oil change and check out at 20 hours (at least mne was). Use the boat for that 20 hours, make a list of what needs to be fixed under warranty (there will be more), and then take it to your dealer for the fixes on his dime.
It's not an solution giving immediate gratification, but makes good economic and practical sense.2009 211 Crossover; Triple White

What year is the boat? The first year or so on the 236, the hatch hinge design was not great. The newer ones are much better. I bet you can just swap them out.
On the electrical issues, how's the charge on the battery?
And, RexB, that free oil change and 20 hour service was something your dealer must have thrown in. It says right in the manual that the 25 hour service is the responsibility of the customer at their expense.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.

I must've got lucky with my dealer.
Wouldn't you still be concerned about getting into the electronics while the boat is under warranty? Replacing hinges is one thing, but electronics are much more scary. I made that mistake once on a former boat, and never will again. As was said in Cool Hand Luke, "A man's got to know his limitations...." I now do.
Even if Janswake has to pay for the 25 hour oil change, that still may be a good time to take his punch list to the dealer for a fix.2009 211 Crossover; Triple White

I would go ahead and make that punch list, and bring any items up to your dealer at the 25 hour service.
DO NOT OMIT THE 25 HOUR SERVICE! Is the most important service you will ever get on your boat. A good dealer will do all the things required, check many safety items, and correct any warranty issues you might have. It is also important to change the fluids, because there is a lot of initial wear on the internal components of the engine and transmission, and it is good to get that stuff out of your motor.
The electrical devices of your boat are controlled by one main switchbox, and this box just has a plug, that is one end of the wiring harness, and all the wires are just routed the the area where the devices will be in the boat as the boat is being built. There is a high probability that the blower just got hooked up to the wrong wire, or the connection for the blower and or the interior lights got put in the wrong place in the multi-pin plug that connects to the switch box.

I had already checked the voltage they are a little low.12.52 & 12.50 but the blower still sounds great when running with the interior lights. The model year on our boat is 2008 but it was built in 2007 I believe. So I wonder if it does have the old hinges, does someone have a pic of the new hinges so i can compare? I wish I could bring it right back to the dealer for warranty but because of our location we have no local dealer. We bought the boat half way across the country but the dealer( plowman's marine) is great so I will give them call on monday.I do know of a dealer about a dealer a few hours away so maybe I can get in touch with them.I was concerned about the scenario danielc proposed because that is one I don't think I can fix on my own.Thank you by the way!!keep the info coming.I love this site!!
