Don't think new impeller is Aspirin !,my SAN had overheat problem few month ago,checked every thing: clean elbow water passage,put new impller, finally,take out the RAW on work bench,turn it with AC motor and test the water flow,,,weak !disasemble RAW I can't see any thing wrong,drop a new one the problem fix, suppose the shaft side of the pump have air leak cause low flow.

if you use a sea strainer you won't have all of that junk blocking your water flow in the tranny cooler. Might want to clean the tranny cooler if you didn't otherwise you'll be replacing the impellar real soon again.

GT-40 overheating

the oil cooler shown had use for about 6 years in sea with strainer,even seems many debries but that's not the cause of overheating that time.
