        if you use a sea strainer you won't have all of that junk blocking your water flow in the tranny cooler. Might want to clean the tranny cooler if you didn't otherwise you'll be replacing the impellar real soon again.

          GT-40 overheating

          the oil cooler shown had use for about 6 years in sea with strainer,even seems many debries but that's not the cause of overheating that time.
