does anyone have a voltmeter reading their house batteries

Does anyone use a voltmeter to regulate their house battery charge? If so do you use one of the promariner battery bank-style readers or an indash style gauge? Pros? Cons? etc

I have a digital voltmeter for my stereo bank right on the dash. I use the digital voltmeter in the Perfect Pass to tell me about my starting battery. If the voltage on the stereo bank gets too low for my combiner to stay locked in I can switch the perko over to all to force the alternator to charge all. I probably look at my stereo voltage level more often than my fuel gauge, tells me exactly what is going on with my charging system.
