new PME Box / master code.

Our boats previous owner apparently change the PME box on our SN 196 from Year 2000. ever since the keyless ignition don`t work. have also changed both keypads.

been trying to figure it out, as i would like to have this feature working on my boat, as i am currently fixing the boat up for the coming season so here goes. correct me if i am wrong.

The mastercode is stored in the PME box. But since its not the original my original master code don´t work.

does a replacement PME box come with a Mastercode or is it blank? any one knows

If a new PME box comes with a master code, then i guess My CC dealer should help me, and get it from CC HQ

If the New PME box does not come with a Master code, what do i then do?

    looking forward to you replies.

    05 Owners manual....not much help!

    Multiple Keyless Ignition Codes
The keyless ignition system has provisions for three different
ignition codes. Any of the three codes may be used to unlock or
    lock the system.
The “Master Embedded Code” is programmed into the system at
Correct Craft Inc. It is not changeable and remains with the boat
for its life. This code can be used to unlock the system, to lock the
system and to erase the two user codes.
The “Primary User Code” is programmed into the system by the
owner with the Correct Craft Dealer’s help at the time of boat
delivery. This code is used to unlock the system, to lock the system
and to add or change the “Secondary User Code.”
The “Secondary User Code” is programmed into the system by the
owner when necessary. This code is only used to unlock or lock the
system. The “Secondary User Code” is ideal to limit access to the
    boat.

      Mastercode for PME Box

Yes i understand that a boat is born with a code. i have this code, but that is for the original PME Box.

i have a new PME Box , and no master code. as the original code only works with the original PME Box, as the code is stored in the PME Box.

anyway that is how i understand it.

i think in newer boats the master code is stored in the keypad itself, but not in a year 2000.

      IT IS FRUSTRATING AS ****.

and the dealer is like 350 km away. needs to be fixed before the season starts. / easter.

You might want to try e-mailing Correct Craft. They can be reached at ski@correctcraft.com. I bet if there is a serial number on your PME box, they might be able to use that to determine the code.

          Pme box

yeah did that, but they needed my local danish CC dealer to authenticate my owner ship of the boat. have asked him to do that.

What i basically need to know is.

Does a replacement PME Box come blank, or does it have a master code.

If blank does it need to go to the dealer, to have a code installed. (probably need a Pc with a CC program plus plugin for the PME Box)

My CC dealer has not been able to give me the code for the new box, he says it does not have one. but without a master code you cant install a primary code, and without primary code you can lock the boat. so that sound wrong.

JUST GIVE ME THE DAMM CODE SOMEONE.

There is a long post by me about late model keypads including blank ones.

Short story - decide what permanent code you want and program it just like a primary code. That code will be burned in forever. Be sure not to forget it or you will be buying another new pad. The next time you program, it will be the primary code....not master embedded code.

Each PME box has a master code

My understanding is that the box will have a master code. The only way to get it is through your dealer from CC. good luck

i am having similar issues right now with a boat i just bought.

First off the "master imbedded code" from the factory is in the keypad itself, NOT the computer, even on a 2000!

NEW replacement keypads come blank, and you will put in an initial code which will be the "master imbedded code" in that keypad for its life! only an idiot would make it different from the original which is recoverable from any dealer who can look it up thru the boats serial #.

I think mine was replaced and the guy who programmed the new one was an idiot, lol

what we really need is a solid way to bypass the stupid keypad system. it blows my mind CC never installed a secondary key option.
