Impeller Direction

Daft question but does the impeller have a certain direction for the viens to be pionting in ??.I have a SN 1996 196


Ive have an air lock problem on my after market LPG kit.It keeps air locking in the vapourising unit and thus freezing up.Wondering if I may have put the new impeller in wrong way round last year.

I dont think it can be installed incorrectly. As soon as the engine rotates it will relocate to the correct position.

Maybe your raw water pump is inverted/installed upside down?

Pump is ok ive checked that, just wondered if the impeller was wrong.

Impeller will correct itself. I typically add some sort of lubricant when I change mine to help it switch position if needed.
