Does anyone have suggestions for an annual boat service near Sacramento? Is the dealer the best option? Thanks.

I think Larsons is the only authorized Nautique repair in the Sacramento area. I've had good luck with them so far. They don't like to take appointments, which can be a pain, and they store your boat outside unless they are working on it, so it gets dirty. As far as thie actual work, though, no complaints.2009 211 Crossover; Triple White

I like Larsons as well, but I found a good place up in Granite Bay called SOS Marine that also does good work. They also keep your boat outside, and it is not as fancy looking as Larson, but they did a very good job for me and got it done in the short timeline I gave them. They were very helpful and explained everything thoroughly so I felt confident that I wasn't being taken advantage of. If I ever get my boat back to Sacramento, I will probably use them again.

I have used Stewarts Marine in Truckee, not sure where you are in the Sac area. Stewarts has done work on many Nautiques in the Truckee Tahoe area and actually has a lot of Correct Craft banners throughout their facility. They are located in the Pioneer Boat Storage facility.

My buddy Mike Mello just opened Mello Marine right next to Larsons. He has a certified marine mechanic that previously worked at one of the biggest dealers in the area. He just did my buddies Malibu 250 hour service for half of what NorCal wanted. Did the V-drive, oil, impeller, lubes, adjusted packings, checked plugs, etc. He will even provide valet service and deliver the finished boat to your doorstep!

Service near Sacramento
Superior Boat Repair and Storage is where I recently took my 05' 210 for its de-winterization/once over before the season started. This company opened its doors not to long ago after West Coast Correct Craft (WCCC) was recently another victim of this horrible economy. The owner, Bob had worked at WCCC for over 20years and took his knowledge and experience with him and opened his own service repair facility, Superior Boat Repair and Storage.
I had originally tried called WCCC when i was in the middle of winterizing my boat and had some technical questions to make sure i was doing everything correct. To my surprise, it was not WCCC that i had called, but Superior Boat Repair. I was in disbelief at first to find out that Correct Craft shut down its West Coast distributor and service facility. As i spoke with Bob, he was more than patient and helpful in helping me make sure i had unscrewed every important drain plug to get all of the water out of the block for a proper winterization. He spent at least 15minutes with me on the phone going over everything to make sure the boat was being put away correctly. I even got off the phone with him and had one last question and he picked up the phone and was more than happy to answer my last question.
The time had come to de-winterize the boat and with my time being very limited, i decided to call Superior. I made the call mid February and scheduled my service for mid March. I dropped the boat off that Monday morning and was greeted by Chris. We went over the boat and Chris was very thorough in noting everything that we were doing and other additional things I wanted them to look at while it was in for service. He spent about 20 minutes with me talking and even offering to help wipe the boat off a little, since it had been sitting for the winter. He gave me a time frame of a couple days to get everything completed and assured me that my boat would be stored indoors the entire time it was there. This was comforting to know that my boat was not going to be sitting outside in a yard, like most other repair facilities in the area. They made sure and communicated every step of the way, which I appreciated. It never turned into me calling asking the status of my boat, they were always the 1st to call.
They changed the oil and filter, v-drive fluid, tranny fluid, cleaned the strainer, changed the impeller, changed the fuel filter, changed the spark plugs, check condition of the belts, checked running gear, checked the packing, etc. Basically a 100hr service and then some. They checked the trailer and topped off the brake fluid.
The price was very reasonable (significantly less expensive than some of the other service facilities in the area). You should not wait any longer to get your boat in for service, as they may still be running there de-winterization special.
And to make the experience even better and to my surprise, the boat came back to me cleaner than i had dropped it off. They cleaned the interior, finished wiping the boat down and even cleaned the trailer and dressed the wheels. I was impressed!
It is not often that I take the time and write something about a business, but I felt that if i could help them out by spreading the good word and in turn give insight to the kind of business Superior is. Hopefully, other Nautique owners or for that matter, any boat owner can have the same positive experience I had.
