RPM readings

My CC RPM Gauge jumps to all over the place when the boat is in neutral. once its gets gas the rpm's go back to accurate. Perfect pass' RPM's are accurate. I have a 2001 Super sport with those digital gauges. Has anyone else experienced this?

I would figure that Perfect pass would get the rpm readings from the same places as the standard gauge so I'm thinking its an intereference issue with something else, but its only at idle.

it could be the guage itself. The hour meter hasn't reset or anything has it? Those guages are very faulty.

Hour meter is still dead on. If perfect pass didn't exist those gauges would be long gone.
