how to remove seats in bow in a 2002 SAN

Does anyone know how to remove the seat that is bolted in the open bow of a super air? I guess it would actually be the seat backs that go around the play pen seating? Im trying to get the boat reupholstered and cant figure out how to remove this part. any help would be awesome!

I started to type a response, but now I'm not entirely sure I remember all the screws. I believe that there are a few around the cup holders. Just pull the vinyl away and you should see them. I think there are a few up front. The biggest pains in the butt are on the backs. You have to get up under the dash, and the observer seat and find them. They should be fairly easy to spot. Should be silver with a washer on them. Once the screws are out, it should just lift right up. There are a few brackets on the actual seat that catch into the fiberglass.

Check out this page. I always refer to my old thread because somewhere there's gotta be a pic of the pieces.

You can see on that page a few pics that shows where some of the screws went through the fiberglass in the bow. You might want to look through all the pages. I'm sure there are some other angles of the bow cushion that might help too.

    Good luck!

BTW, where are you getting it reupholtstered? I'm considering trying copycat covers, but not decided yet.

Just saw another thread that jogged my memory. You have to get the cup holders out first. There are two screws that hold them in. The reach up under the hull and feel for some nuts. I think they are 3/8" maybe. There are a few on either side, then one or two up in the bow.

yeah the actual cup holders will pop out, but unless you're quadrouple jointed, you will probably have to pull the plastic pod piece out too.

the nuts are 7/16". There are 3 total, one behind each cupholder between the cupholder and the handle, and a single one under the nautique logo sewn into the seat. That one is very easy to reach its just inside
