Cranked up my engine (2007 PCM 5.7L 330 hp) for 1st time of the year this weekend on my 07 216 TE, and noticed that it ran rough (audible + vibration) in the 1900-2300 RPM range. Things were smooth at the 3000+ RPM range (and really 2500 RPM). Didn't notice anything at slower RPMs while boat was in gear. Even after an hour of running, this RPM range was a bit rough (ie: I don't have cold engine syndrome)
Another thing that I noticed was when I put the throttle in neutral, I'd hear a "wobble" for a 2-3 second duration. It was intermittent, and it might not make the noise until 5-20 seconds after being placed in neutral.
My dealer closes early on Saturday during the winter, so I couldn't give him a ring, so asking for ideas here.
Any ideas on the causes of my noises...and what needs to be done to fix them?
