    EFI to carb conversion

I just inherited my Dad's 1994 Sport Nautique with the PCM 5.8 351 that was EFI. Supposidly, when he was having some issues with the EFI, the folks at Correct Craft advised him to convert it to carburated. The new carb was bolted on and connected to a new mechanical fuel pump, but due to other issues, the boat was left that way for about 5 years. Now I have it and have no idea where to go from here. The old wiring from the EFI is still attached and there is a open vent off the fuel pump that is not attached to anything. Will the original electronic ignition system work with this setup, or do I need to go to a distributor and coil?

I am hoping that since it was the Correct Craft guys that suggested this, that there will be some knowledge about the conversion floating around. I have searched the forums, but came up empty.

    Any suggestions?

Sounds like the TBI efi was swapped out- those were known to be problematic. The weakest link in the system is the Pro-Tec ignition system, so you will want to convert to a conventional distributor and coil. SkiDIM can sell you new wire harness.
