After my boat sat for 2 1/2 weeks I found my battery dead. The switch on it was in the all off position. The dealer called me today to let me know he had another 206 do the same thing. He said there is a service bulleton about the small 40 watt amp of the Clarion system being wired directly to the battery and staying on all the time. The temp. fix is to take out the fuse on the positive lead of the battery. The true fix is rewire the amp to a swiched circuit. I don't know if anyone has experianced this but I bet there is.

You are correct. There is a service bulletin for this problem. If anyone has this issue or wants to check, call your dealer with your hull number to see if you are affected. I am surprised that dealers aren't contacting customers about these issues though. A dead battery is a major nuisance to any boater. -

Count me in on the dead battery brigade ......twice....... When I called dealer, he commented that happens when the boat sits. Bummer! I'm going to call again to see if my 206 is in the group (bet it is!) bte, the optima gel cell batteries are pretty good... they can be run down as many times and not go bad.Comment

I had the problem very early in the year (before the bulletin). I figured that the amp was causing the problem, theN the bulletin came out. I your dealer follows the bulletin the problem will be corrected.
