trailer showing age. when is it time for a new one?

I have a 92 ski nautique. I believe the trailer is the same year. It is not looking good. The fenders are rusted through in spots, and the originally white frame is rust colored in most spots.

I think I want a new trailer, but would like some input as to whether or not I'm just wasting money.

    Repair Dont Replace

You should be able to rebuild the trailer of about 1/4 the cost of a new one. As log as the rust is superficial. Fenders are relatively cheap. Blasting and powder coating shouldn't be much. Do you have a place to leave te boat off the trailer for 2 weeks. If so I would repair.

After I started dumping money into mine, I started wondering if I should have bought a new one (94). It's galvanized, so the frame is in good shape. I've done hubs, bearings, carpet/bunks, new winch strap, etc. My surge brake sticks a little up front, but it'd be hard to replace (welded in tongue). I've probably dropped about $500 since I got it 3 years ago, but a new one would be $4k+.
