    Excalibur Impeller

I just replaced my impeller and bolted on the waterpump without looking to see if it must be positioned in a specific orientation (i.e. "this side up"). Anyone?

I believe it depends on the year engine. I have an 03 Excal 330 and there is only one way to put the pump back on, so I don't run into that issue.

IIRC, My 05' does have "top" stamped/marked on the pump, if yours is the same hopefully "top" ended up on top.

And the answer is: Yes, the pump must be oriented correctly. "Top" is cast into the housing. I removed mine to check for sure and found that I had accidentally reinstalled it correctly. I also added a small dot of white paint to the top which is clearly visible in the installed position. Another hour of time spent but at least I know it is correct.
