I have a 2002 SAN with the walters v-drive unit. I was planning to change the oil in the v-drive by sucking out the oil with an oil extractor. When I was about to stick the oil extractor tube down the dipstick tube, I noticed that dipstick tube does not directly connect to the v-drive unit. There is a 90 degree bend and then a flexible tube goes to the bottom of the v-drive.
My question is, can I just place the extractor tube down the dipstick tube till it hits the 90 degree bend or do I need to get all the way to the v-drive unit? The extractor tube will not make the 90 degree bend.
