I have a 2000 Pro Air with the nifty Teleflex digital dash. I've also got PerfectPass w/ paddle wheel I'm going to upgrade to Stargazer GPS only. So, the paddle wheel will be available for water temp or a Faria speedo gauge. Here's where I deviate from normal... I'm upgrading the PP to Stargazer since on the Pro Air hull the paddle wheel is inconsistent at best, unless the boat is completely level and the water's glassy. So, why would I pay $$$ for Faria gauges to display the speed that the paddle wheel is inaccurately producing? I DO want a speed readout alternate from the GPS though, just in case no GPS signal. I'd like to use the rear pitot tubes with an older air pressure driven gauge - like the 1999 Airguides or similar. I believe the air tubes go from the rear to the computer that then tells the Teleflex gauges what to display? Anyone messed around with where the air tubes go from the rear of the boat? Any info y'all have would be helpful. I'm even game to try some things out, but don't want to tear into a lost cause adventure.
Thanks,
Tim
