I have a pregnant wife and 2 year old that is in the boat all the time, so I didn't want to use any strong cleaners for the vinyl. I read a few posts on using vinegar to clean the vinyl so I thought I would give it a try. The stern seats where really moldy and dirty from the previous owner that had the boat uncovered under a boat lift all the time. I used a soft brush with 50/50 water/vinegar and I couldn't believe at how well it cleaned the seats.
Not only do I have clean seats now, but I have piece of mind that my little girl and wife aren't lounging in chemicals.
