I bought an 04' SV-211 that had 80 hrs on it and put it in the water for the first time 2 weeks ago and noticed it running a little rough so I changed the fuel filter and put fresh gas in it and run it this weekend and it seemed to fix that problem. The other thing that just happened to me was went for a spin Saturday afternoon and came back to the boat lift and put in neutral and heard a whining noise like it was grinding gears so I put the shifter in about the 10:00 position and it was normal, but after I shut the engine off and restarted and back out on the lake it never has done it again. Sunday I went out to start the boat and put my code in and the orange light lit up for each number that I put in to start and put start twice and heard a click every time I put the code in and nothing. Did this maybe 5-6 times and finally it fired right up. Do I leave the toggle switch in the "all on" all the time or do I have to flip it to the "off" when we shut the engine off? Wondering if anyone had any advice on this. I don't really think this is anything major wrong, just trying to fix the bugs in it from the previous owner.

Hi csize,
I have a 2002 Sante, and if there is no activity the master system shuts off after 8 hours. Foir what its worth i alwayds turn the master switch to all off when ever i put the boat away for the night or at the end of the weekend. That afternoon if the timing had been less than 8 hours you could have maybe been deactivating the system by repressing the code.
My boat is new to me too and takes a bit of getting used to.210 SANTE

Thanks wakehead, you may be right on the code situation. I'll try that the next time. Yeah, you're right I had a 1993 sport and upgraded to the 211 and it is taking some getting used to on figuring things out and how everything works. Have a great summer with your new toy!!!!
