The Digital Ones are way nicer than the older style Fara gauges. Is there another option? I thought about putting a Perfect Pass to replace the MPH , but what about engine hours ect..

I'm not sure what you mean by nicer.
For me, nice is a gage that works. The digitals were replaced at least three times, perhaps four, before I finally went with an farias. I don't know why they don't make the digitals anymore, but I would guess it is because they couldn't make them work for continued period of times.
I replaced my digitals with the Farias. I haven't noticed any issues with functionality or aesthetics. They have lasted longer than any of the digitals.

I personally think the analog Teleflex look much better than the Faria. There are several posts on here that show pictures of them and they look pretty sharp. Just search the forum.
This came from Teleflex:
-------------------------------------------
Tachometers, Speedometers for 2000-2003 Correct Crafts
Teleflex no longer offers or services the digital tachometer or speedometer used in 2000-
2003 model year Correct Crafts.
However, the Teleflex Premier Pro Series gauges will operate well in the same dash
panel application. The gauges have a fog resistance lens, sealed against water intrusion
from rain or normal wash down, have domed lens to prevent standing water, and the
bezel is black.
The instrument dial lights red and the pointer lights bright white at night for excellent
visibility.
The tachometer is available in 6000 RPM as part number 62724P. It will use the same
tachometer wires in the boat now. The plug does need to be removed from the tachometer
harness and ring terminals installed on the wire ends to connect to the new tachometer.
The speedometer is available in 65 MPH as part number 62722P or 50 MPH (as a special
order) as part number 84510K. It will use one of the two pitots on the transom. By pass
the Speedometer Electric Module. You will not need it, or the speedometer wiring
harness. Since the speedometer has only the light that is electrical, you can jump those
two connections to the tachometer.
Teleflex analog gauges have offered boat builders quality products for 40 years and is the
choice replacement products for retailers such as West Marine, Boater’s World, Bass Pro,
etc. We are certain these gauges will work well in your boat too.2000 Air Nautique

This is my personal choice. For a speedometer, the only nice gauge is an Airguide. Black letters and numbers on a white face, with an orange pointer. Easy to read, and actually shows you the speed you are going, through the water, and not the speed the last time it got an accurate sample.
Sure, the pitot tube get clogged, but it is really easy to blow compressed air backwards though it, after taking the hose off, and it works again.
My key switch is still working reliably, after 2250 hours. So are all my gauges, and my hour meter. So are all my old circuit breaker/switches. My digital depth sounder is not working good, but I have learned where to go in the river, and where not to go.
How many posts are on this board are about "my digital keypad won't work"
How many posts are devoted to the Teleflex digital gauge fiasco?
Just because it is "digital" does not mean it is better.

Pitot tube Airguide or Teleflex...
Ok, I'm looking at the same plan to replace my speedo. I don't want to use the Faria gause since it uses the paddle wheel which is horrible on the Pro Air hull. So with the pitot tubes on the back, will they work with either Airguide gauges and Teleflex?
Here's a Teleflex speedo I'm considering...
http://www.gandermountain.com/modper...ID=4008&r=view
It's 0-35mph, since that's the speed range I'm always critical of while skiing or boarding, just in case the GPS Stargazer doesn't read.
If this gauge works, or other gauges as mentioned, off the existing pitot tubes (just one needed), where do the current tubes terminate? Back of the engine? In or under the dash somewhere? I'd rather not have to fish around the stern of the hull inside and pull new tubing if I'm able to hose-barb into an existing line in a more convenient location.Last edited by Tim-Krasin; 05-06-2010, 04:54 PM.2000 Pro Air Nautique - all black top and bottom with cream \"N\" logo. I think there is a box in the back of the boat, that if you already have pitot tubes, it converts water pressure into the electrical signal the old Teleflex needed to read. Tapping into that hoses back there would be possible, you will need enough hose to get to the helm on the boat.
Ideally, the pitot tube operated speedometer should be matched to the pitot tube, but if you end up with an Airguide speedometer, it could be hard to find an Airguide pitot tube.
Here is one site that has info on Airguide speedometers:
