blown fuse?

I was out last night riding and think I blew a fuse because on my way back to the dock, my stereo and accessory outlets were not working (pain in the neck when you have two full big sacks....)

Anyway, I think I blew a fuse and want to get this taken care of before the weekend. However, the breaker box has warnings all over it suggesting that the box only be opened by certified mechanics. Is this something to worry about?

I have a 2000 air with a smart pod dash the fuse box I am speaking of is mounted off the floor under the dash on the kick panel.

disconnect the battery and hunt for the blown fuse ----------should be simple--don't forget to check the 30 amp fuse directly off positive terminal on the battery.

I don't think it could be the 30 amp directly off the positive terminal because then none of my electronics would work... from what I could tell the only items not working were the stereo and 12v accessories

I was spoofed after seeing the labels on the fuse box under the dash which warned non certified mechanics to stay out

Don't open the box

All you have to do is push in the breakers. They are like the old fuses. I will bet when you push one of the several in it will go click and the stereo will work. If it does it again you need to lessen the load on that breaker

I looked and don't recall there being one for the stereo or the 12v. However I did see one listed accessory and pushed it in with no result. Just to confirm you're talking about the black box mounted beneath the dash with the labeled buttons with clear rubber caps? The boat is rather new to me (mechanically speaking) and just want to confirm/get a few more details.

Thats the breaker box

The box you describe is the breaker box. If all the buttons are pushed in then you have to go looking for fuses. There is usually one on a small wire coming off the pos battery terminal its in an inline holder. The only other breakers fuses I know about are the 3 behind the engine. They are on a panel above the starter solenoid and are labeled 60 30 30 or 60 30 20. make sure they are pushed in. I don't know where there would be fuses for the ballast. You could call White lake and ask them Good luck.

Rick, thanks for the help... I wrote that off as the source because interestingly enough, there wasnt anything labeled stereo, 12v or accessory... there were many others but not those. There were a few unmarked and at first glance it was hard to tell that one had tripped because its hard to tell and I wasn't looking at the unmarked ones.
