196 fuel relay

is anybody aware of any problems with the fuel pump relay on the 1996 196 thanks

Yes - I replaced both relays on the back of the engine 4 weeks ago - one for the engine computer and one for the fuel relay - costs 9 bucks per relay at autozone - look up the part for a Ford F150 5,8 liter engine - it is the same relay - replace both - takes 5 minutes.. Symptoms include - intermittent starting problems (cranks but no fire) or even abrupt mid speed abrupt engine shutoff.....the worst part is that the symptoms are intermittent !
