Odd problem yesterday. While towing a rider (22 mph, stock ballast full, 9 people in the boat and gate down), there was a mechanical noise from the v-drive & transmission part of boat that did not sound good. Actually thought I ran over a log at first but quick inspection of the prop, rudder and underside of the hull showed no dings. Put another rider in the water and after a few runs, same thing but this time the noise was absolutely mechanical. No warning lights, no other indications of a problem and driving back to the dock (about 30 minutes) at speeds of 25-35 mph and no repeat (ballast was empty & gate up). Next day, more driving around the lake without towing and no issues. This was the second time out this year after de-winterizing and 100 hour service (v-drive & tranny fluid changed).
I know this is vague and will be calling the dealer tomorrow but anybody experienced this before?
