Need a new/used computer for a 2000 Super Air

My boat filled up with water after we got hit by a storm. The computer got fried. The guy I have working on the boat thinks that the engine is ok but he cant test it with out a new computer. So I don't really feel like spending a grand on a new one only to find out the engine is shot too. Does anyone know where I can find a PCM or ECM that wont break the bank. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I heard a ECM from a 2000 Ford F-150 might work? any one know about that?
