Turn on electronics without starting engine ?

On 08 211 team with keypad. Is there a way to turn on gauges without starting engine? EG, to check voltage, depth, etc. I have been totally unable to figure this out.

All you should have to do is push the start button twice. Don't hold the button on the second push. It will turn on the guages and not start the engine.

Yup, that's the trick.

Here is a goofy feature:

At least on the later models, if you pull the lanyard...the gauges will NOT come on.

But....you can still crank the engine by holding down the start button.
