I ordered a 1.25" thru hull to supply water to 2 jabscos for my ballast install and noticed that this particular thru hull does not have a strainer on the end of it, or any other place within it. Having read over the Jabsco manual, it seems like a strainer or something similar is needed to keep debris out of the pump. Is this a concern? Is there an alternate way of straining before the pump or affixing a strainer to this thru hull?
Also, I am using the factory thru hull (scoop style) to supply water to my third pump.
