Please tell me I can get this vinyl cut repaired like new!

My 12yr old daughter was trying to help put the boards away and accidently drug her board on the engine compartment and the fin put this nice cut in the vinyl. I can't blaim her she was standing on the ground when she tried to grab it and it was me that had taken it off the rack and laid it on the back deck. But it just made me sick to my stomach when I noticed it! I've got a call into a local dealer and am waiting for a call back from their guy that does vinyl repair. I'll post a pic of the after so people can see. Also I'm thinking about getting some sand paper and dulling all the fins on all our boards!!!

get some white thread and stitch it shut. save your money and just replace it in a few years. i understand your frustration. unless they'll come to your house it's just time you can't get on the water.

Call around and find someone that does vinyl repair. That is an easy fix. I have a guy here in my home town that everyone takes their boats to. It would take him about 20 min. to fix that one. You won't even be able to find it when they're done. You can also call your local boat dealers and ask them who does their vinyl repair. Trust me they have a guy on call. I saw a boat at a boat show and a cushion got cut really bad from people crawling around in the boat. The next week I saw it on the show room and the cushion looked flawless. I asked the guy if they just replaced the whole cushion and he just winked at me.

Jward, where are you and who is your guy? I have a tiny cut in my brand new bow backrest (came that way) that I want fixed.

Thanks Jward. A bit too far for me. I need to find a top notch guy in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Thank you. I will see if they will give me the guy's name. That said, I'm like the one guy who really does not like Buxton. They have dropped the ball with me several times already.
