    1995 supersport gt40 dual batteries?

Im not sure if i need dual batteries or a higher amp altinater.

I have a stero with one amp, nothing big, heater, shower, fatsack wired pumps

when you are runnign the boat, and have a few acc turned on,the amp gauge drops, the perfect pass beeps.

Do i need 2 batteries or just a bigger altinater?Boat does fine when youa re not running the stero and pumps at the same time.
I only have 1 battery now,it has done well the past 3 seasons, but left us stranded this morning, the battery died over the winter and i charged it,but i think it wont hold a charge anymore, need a new one.I doont like being stranded,i have never been pulled in ,ever, except this morning.A guy in a master craft was looking at us pretty hard when we got to the dock,i yelled over at him"whats wrong, never seen a correct craft being pulled in"
he laughed.WE got pulled in by a momba, they were the only ones who would stop, nice guys
Ive pulled my share of boats in over the years.
    anywho,thansk for any information

You may or may not need a new battery, but you also likely have a poor ground to your dash. A lot of boats of this era have that problem, including mine. It is on my list of thing to do still.. You need to run and additional larger power and ground from the battery and block up to your dash. Do a search and you will find several threads on this topic.

That boat probably has a #8 power and ground up to the dash. Replace the mains with #6 or better yet #4s and your issues will probably be gone. This is a path well traveled.
