    Ballast bag additions

I got great data for all the parts ect to add a automatic ballast system to my 04 ccss210 however I was thinking what does this do to the carrying capacity of the boat. If I subtract all the weight of the sacks from my carrying capacity there is no capacity left for people. How does this weight work?

The carrying capacity is a recommended capacity. Many people run their boats overweight. When I was at wake camp, when the coaches rode we had the full factory ballast full, plus 2 v-drive sacs, plus a 750 fat sac in the cabin on the floor, plus every seat full with people, including 3 in the bow. This was on a newer Malibu VLX. We were never in danger of sinking. That said, it requires some skill driving a boat loaded like that in order not to swamp it. When the rider goes down and you cut the engine, goose it with a little gas right before you come to a stop or you could swampt the back.

All this said, if you run overweight (a) you do so at your own risk and (b) be observant of the water conditions (i.e., know how to avoid rollers coming over the bow or sides of your boat).

I have an 02 210 Team Edition, and according to the sticker next the capacity plate, the 820 pound stock ballast system is calculated into the capacity already. So really your boat without ballast should be rated for more weight than mine. My max capacity is 1040 pounds I believe. So yours should be at least 1860.

That capacity would make sense but mine is stamped 1460 lbs. This capacity is less then what most people have recommended for ballast bags

you can put 2000lbs on top of factory ballast plus people and not worry. just watch for nose dives when stopping. if you think it'll sink then dont do it. also, what is a 04ccss? did you mean 04 correct craft super air?

Its called a super sport 210. Very similar to SAN I'm told but without the tower and ballast. Although it has factory switches for ballast and a monster tower

on a 210 v-drive you can easily put 3 grand of weight in there and some folks. might take a long time to get up to speed though.

I'm thinking of changing my fat sacs from 2 ea at 750 and one center at 370 to 2 @ 400 ea and maybe 200 for center That brings it close to factory standard
