    v-drive ticking

    hi guys im new on here and semi new to nautiques i have a 2003 air nautique 226 limited and i took it out last weekend and it ran great for the first two days then the third day it started to make a ticking noise in forward and reverse and i know i didnt hit ne thing with the prop has ne one had this prob before? its at the shop right now but they dont seem to familiar with vdrives so im trying to do some home work so they dont just try to go at it by automaticlly pulling the whole tranny for no reason ne help would be greatly apriciated

    Does the frequency of the ticking increase as the rpms increase? Is there a speed where the ticking stops?

      yes it increases with the increase of rpms but is totally fine in neutrel and reving in neutrel

        Check your oil level? Lifters tick when engine oil is low, and your pressure will be fine so no lights willl go on.
