Was wondering if anyone else has had starter issues with a 2008 boat. Our 2008 211 wouldn't start after running for several miles, stopped for first rider to get in water and wouldn't start after that. First time have had any starting issues. Could hear the starter motor running when hit start button but engine not turning over. Have it at dealer for repair but wondered if that is something that should go out so soon, boat only has about 65 hours on it.

The exact same thing happened to my 211 with 35 hrs on it, on Sunday morning. Would turn over just fine, but wouldn't fire. Did you figure out what was causing this? Sounds like a fuel pump issue. Anyone else have any suggestions? -
Dealership says it's the starter on mine (bad bendix?)..hopefully will have it back and ready for the 4th.2014 G21

Mine ('08 211) was tripping the breaker. Dealer moved wire from 'Start/Run' breaker to 'Nav Lights' breaker and all is well for now. Need a permanent fix at some point. In less than 2 yrs and less than 50 hrs we've had a number of electrical problems including blower breaker tripping constantly, on/off/bilge relay busted, keypad suddenly going dead, engine suddenly quitting for no apparent reason, and now this issue with the starter breaker tripping. Kinda frustrating. Mark sent a mechanic out last week to replace the PME hoping that some of the problems might be stemming from there.Comment
