    Prop repair recommendations

I need to have an ACME 422 repaired. Anyone have a trusted repair shop? Not in a rush, I have a new prop installed just want to fix the old one for a spare.

i believe you can send it to them and they will repair it for 100$ or a little more if welding needs to be done.

Delta does them for roughly $140.00 bucks plus shipping. They say they computer balance etc. I would check with a few of the fishing boat dealers in the area as fishermen always seem to need prop repair.

I just had two of them fixed locally for $160 each.

Thanks for the replies. I have heard mixed results from sending it back to acme.

If you live in the NW, there is a spot in Portland, OR area that I take mine to. Ampro in Clackamas, OR.

I'm near Houston but will ship it off. I talked with Nettles, in Austin, and they seem like a quality shop.

Do not use Baumann on the Houston Port. There is another shop in the area I haven't tried...but I heard they do better than Baumann. I tried Baumann and it was "good enough" but they could have been better IMO and overcharged me due to their website "not updated".

                    prop repair

I just had my factory prop off of my 2007 sante 220 repair here in Temple, TX and he shipped it off to Houston. I paid 131 with tax and shipping. I cannot see a problem with it. I bought a 1235 acme from nettles in the meantime;I should have waited and saved some money but I have RFN. The 1235 is sweet, but it is a little louder, and I would say it uses more gas; but I have only been out twice with it so far. I can see if I can find out where he sent it if you still need the info? I would send it to ACME. They built it and they will do the best job of repairing it. Go to their web site they will ask you to call and they will give a Return authorization#. Send it to them , Give them a credit card #. They will repair and send back in about 12-14 days. If it is not beat up to bad it should cost somewhere around $150.00.

                          prop repair

Baomann Marine in Houston on Marchario Garcia road. I am telling you the prop looks just like the new prop I got from nettle right out the box. Polished, straight, and I cannot tell which blade was bent

I didn't have the same luck....and my prop wasn't that bad.

Must have got the wrong guy or went on the wrong day.
