Glue for rubber strip on windshield ?

The flat rubber strip that keeps the hinged windshield from rattling when it's closed began sliding towards the side from the moment I bought the boat. I've re-fixed it in place a few times but it no longer sticks. Any thoughts on what glue would be good for holding it more permanently?

Use an RTV (silicone seal) of the same color as the rubber strip.
