95 sport gt-40 Stuck float valve at tank

How do repair a stuck float valve at the tank. Do you remove the tank and the plate in the center? I cant see where the check valve ball is located.

I do not think there is a float valve in the tank. There is an anti siphon valve.
On my 1997 Ski Nautique, the anti siphon valve is located just before the hose that goes to the fuel pump, right at the top of the tank. There is also a fuel return hose that goes back to the tank.

This is what I told the other poster with GT-40 fuel problems.

Fuel pressure is critical. You have to check it. Just because there is some liquid in a fuel rail does not mean the pressure is good.

The GT-40 engine does not have feedback into the engines computer on what the fuel-air ration is. The computer just assumes the fuel pressure is good, and opens the injectors for the proper amount of time, assuming that correct fuel pressure.

Here is how to check the fuel pressure:

You need to download the GT-40 service manual from this site.

I was also told to check the anti siphon valve at the tank. I was taking a look at it last night and believe it is a brass fitting that extends horizontally from the middle top of the tank to a hose that has a red piece of tape on it. That is the main fuel line which also goes to the fuel filter. I ran out of light and didn't get it apart.

I also have a 95 GT40 and am experiencing trouble starting the boat when hot. It always starts fine cold and runs fine. Just can't restart it after 5min off. I was told it could be heat backing up into the tank and freezing the ball in the anti siphon valve.

I see the two bass fittings on top of the tank, but don't see where a anti siphon valve could be located.
