air 206 cruise control

i have a air 206 fitted with cruise control can anyone explain how it works

Which cruise control do you have, Wakeboard Pro or Digital Pro? Basically you set a desired speed by RPM's or in MPH, take the boat up to that setting and it beeps and takes care of maintaining that setting until you pull the throttle back. I suggest you read the manual and get baseline settings calibrated on a slalom course or a gps. After you use it you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Or, you could be talking about the standard cruise control, which I have never seen and is very unpopular. Do you know if you have Perfect Pass, (What george is talking about) or the small, unpopular, standard cruise control by CC.

No No No have your wife read the manual and explain it to you. Men should never be made to read a manual...

The old style cruise you turn it on in neutral gear take the boat to the desired speed, push the set button and it takes over. If the rider falls the next time up it will remember what was set before.

sweet that makes more sense but i think mine may be stuffed cause the motor seems chattery and does not want to hold the cable

I'm not sure what you mean by "stuffed" Who did the install? Perfect Pass has a low failure rate? I would have the installer look at it. Where are you located?

its factory fitted....by stuffed i mean the motor seems to be jamming im going to take it out again 2day to see if it works better im in sydney australia

If I don't show up this afternoon at your house the manual also has a trouble shooting section that may just help you out. You can call them but they are in eastern canada so the call may cost what the pp cost.
