    Throttle sticking

Sometimes my throttle sticks at 1/2 or 3/4, not giving me the power I need to plane. I normally fix this by turning off the engine, put it in neutral and push the throttle to fully open. It was once just a nuisance, but the problem is getting worse and making difficult to ride.

I originally posted this as a Perfect Pass issue. After working with them, I'm starting to think it may not be a PP issue after all. The problem is intermittent and I never really need to drive without PP on.

Maybe the cable needs to be adjusted or oiled? I have a 03 with the PCM Excalibur.

I just wanted to give a update on this issue in case someone else has the same problem. The throttle cable near the Perfect Pass servo was intermittently hanging up on a screw head of a hose clamp. It was difficult to identify because it would not hang up if the engine cover was off when trying to investigate the problem. It would also only do it at 3/4 throttle making it difficult to check on the fly. A linkage test and some slight wear on the cable helped me discover the problem. I turned the hose clamp around and suspect that will solve that issue.
