    Pylon Reinforcement ?????

I have an '83 SN 2001 that is ocassionally used to pull various acts for the show ski team. It is time to upgrade the final pyramid and am curious as to what the max load the pylon should be subjected to and if anyone has ever seen the pylons braced for additional strength. It would be a bummer to have the pylon and say 16 people at the dock with the boat pulling away:?:

well, it is an old boat. I would definitely try to beef it up but options are few. Just take a picture when you pull 16, I've got to see that.
    I don\'t care.

It don't think it will be a problem. Back then the old ring pylon was made for those acts. Show skiing was really big in the early 80's. Beautiful boat. You won't even phase her. I did 4 deepwater slalomers at once with no problem last summer, and that is a huge amount of drag. The pyramid base skis have huge surface area. Something else would break before the pylon if something were to go.

          umm, 13

age does numerous things. We've done 5 deepwater(fully clothed) and it did fine but I (stress I) would be worried with 16....

but anywho, definitely try to get some pictures when you do.
          I don\'t care.

88- you read my mind. I was digging around for that exact ad. I got it from an OLD CC site long ago and I think I originally gave it to these guys and Keith at CCfan.com! Thanks for posting it!

That 5 deepwater start onthewater is talking about was with all skiers starting on 2 skis, not deepwater barefooting. We did several 3 deep slalom starts http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~kfleisch/...ipslalomvg.wmv without any problems also.

I wouldn't worry about the pylon for starting pyramids if I were you, it should be fine.
