    Help, Keycode question

Hello. I have a 2000 SAN, and have always used same code to unlock and start. Have owned it for 5 years, and now i enter the code and it wont unlock or anything? Would love some help. There are two batteries, and I put a brand new one in today. I'm pretty sure this is factory code. Help please...Thanks!

one possibility is that the buttons are simply worn out.

THanks for the reply. Would it just stop working when you hit the start button? Weird? Was getting the boat ready today and it worked so i could lift the cover, and now it wont unlock.

i haven't personally experienced this but i have read multiple threads about buttons going "dead" from over use. i just programmed a 2nd code using unused buttons recently. i'd guess a volt meter or something of the like will help you narrow it down.

OK thanks again. Its the start button that appears to be dead. I enter my code and when I ht start it doesn't go into unlocked mode. I guess its time to call the dealer.

These are easy to install yourself and White Lake has them at a good price less your PN discount.

Are you sure the battery cables are good. Sometimes if the connection is weak, the starting current through the bad connection will drop the voltage available to the system close to zero.

I would definitely clean the battery terminals before you go and condemn an expensive part like a keypad.

Have I ever mentioned how thankful I am that my boat just uses a key and a simple and easy to replace switch?
