should I be worried?

I have a 1999 CC Ski Nautique with A Ford 351block GT40. Every year, I always drain the motor and heater, fog the motor and put antifreeze in the motor and heater about 5.5 gal. Unfortunately this year I neglected to put the antifreeze, and now I am always worried about it. The boat is presently sitting outside on it's trailer under a polythene tent(Tempo) and I can still work on the motor if needed. I am up north Montreal so it's already below freezing temperature.

Here's my concern:

should I be worried that there might be still water in the motor or parts?

is there a way to add antifreeze into the motor without starting it?

If you already drained the block & manifolds, DONT WORRY ABOUT IT. It's fine. AF is overkill if you drained the block IMO.

Antifreeze would help fight the corrosion that occurs in a drained block. The weather in Montreal is cold enough I wouldn't think the corrosion formation is a factor. I agree with M3Fan. If you still want to put in the AF, remove the T-stat and fill the block there. You can manually turn the engine with a breaker bar to get the AF circulated better.

Another thing is I checked and rechecked and never found a drain plug specific for the transmission cooling... Is the Tranny cooled by the block? If there is a plug where is it?

I believe you cooler is a liquid to liquid cooler. Water flow from the water pickup through the strainer, through the cooler to the raw water pump. Simply disconnect the water supply lines from the ends of the cooler and allow the cooler to drain. You may want to drain the pitot lines for your speedometers in addtion to the other things you mentioned. Sometimes water will stay trapped and freeze.

My '99 trans cooler has a drain plug on the bottom center. There is water in mine when I drain it.
