Perfect Pass display fading in and out

My perfect pass display is fading in and out on my 2006 211. I have not got the chance to check anything out on it yet. Has anyone had this problem? The only thing I know to check is for a loose wire or the batteries. The boat starts fine and it is charging fine, so I dont think it is the batteries. Any help would be great, before I tear into it.

It happens. The solution is to send it back to PP. They will replace the screen for $80, if memory serves me correctly.

Is PP included in the parts warranty?

Is it just the screen on your PP fading in and out, or is the device switching off and on again?

The PP system on my 211 was very sensitive to voltage and would shut off readily if the voltage dropped (especially if the heater blower was run on the fastest setting). This would generally cause the boat to suddenly accelerate when the PP shut down whilst engaged. Cleaning up the terminals at the battery selector switch seemed to overcome the problem.

If it's just the screen failing, the PP should still regulate the speed correctly even when the screen is blank. This should be a simple warranty issue.

The PP is working is still keeping the correct speed, it is just the display, sometimes it works fine and other days it fades in and out makes it hard to see who it is set up for.
