I have had a problem with the wire on the master switch (on - off - bilge on) falling off at inopportune times. It usually happens when I am near the spillway on a major river, and the current tends to pull me towards it at an uncomfortable rate. This has happened about half a dozen times at least. The first year we had the boat it happened at least 4 times. i took it in and that secured the wire better, but it has recently happened again, and seems to be happening more frequently. I am sure the reason it is happening is the rough water I tend to be in and the fact that the connector is just a spade male/female connector, and only uses a friction fit.
Has anybody else had this problem? And it so, what do you do to fix it?
I hate to take it into the dealer for warranty on such a trivial and minor thing, but heck I would really like it if the whole boat opperated as it was designed to, and not keep leaving me stranded in the middle of the lake, or even worse, by a spillway with a 100' drop on the other side.
