    Bow wind block

What is the name for the piece that blocks the wind from coming through the bow? I have snaps on my boat where something was before but I cant find anything to replace it.

Two different things. Removable air dam is a rigid piece that goes in the walk through area. The tonneau cover is a fabric piece that snaps around the open bow.

false statement. plenty of boats have a canvas air **** for the walk through.

The Correct Craft price sheet lists it as "walk thru air dam".

The walk through air dam does not snap into place. The OP is asking about what the snaps around the open bow are for. Best of my knowledge, they are for the fabric tonneau cover.

gride, what is a false statement? I have an OB200 and got the air dam. It is a fiberglass piece that blocks the walkthough under the open bow window. Both block the wind, but they are two different things.

all said and good. i agree the bow cover is a tonneu cover. however, an air **** does NOT have to be fiberglass. that's what im trying to say, and it does the same thing w/ less effort than covering the whole bow.

How did you like this dam? I need to get something for mine but didn't know the stock unit is fiberglass. I have considered having a cushion made to fill the slot. How did the fiberglass part install? What would you recommend?

                Thanks in advance.

It may not actually be fiberglass, but something like it. Maybe a thin white starboard? It works very well. Blocks about 95% of the wind and stores under the passenger seat. I got this b/c I'm not a fan of the snaps on the bow.

Not a huge fan of snaps either. I guess I need to order one of these. Thanks for the info.

If you already have the snaps, get a local canvas shop to make a sunbrella piece with snaps to fit into the walk through. Ran me about $60 on my old boat and worked like a charm.

Thanks for the help, not a big fan of the snaps either but they were already there when we bought the boat. Looks like I will be having something made here soon.
