97 Sport Nautique starting problem

The boat starts for 2-3 seconds then shuts down and pops breaker (15 amp). I have changed the fuel filter and im starting to think the low pressure fuel pump could be the pronlem. Any ideas on what else it could be?

did you check your safety lanyard ?
also it may be the fuel relay - I had a similar problem but it would not pop the breaker.

I did check the lanyard.Maybe I'II look in to the fuel relay next.
