My father in-law took the boat (98 air gt-40) out yesterday and said that when he went to nuetral it made a god awful sound almost like grinding gears,But forward and reverse were fine, we did not have the chance to talk long about it so this is the only info that i have.I was wondering if anybody has had this issue before and what to check first.I am hoping maybe a stretched throttle cable?or something cheap as apposed to a tranny problem.Any advice would be grateful.
