    Perfect Pass Display

Any Ideas on this display. Sometimes it just goes blank, but perfect pass still works and will capture the speeds. Either no display or this pixel display that tries to go back to normal. Happens intermittently. It may work perfect for a month, and then acts up again. Its normally always the 1st part of the day and it clears up to normal the 2nd part of the day. Took video of it and pics of it. Told the dealer about it and showed them video and pics and says he needs to have the boat and put in on the water to see that the problems is. I guess video and pictures isnt enough.. 70 miles to tow boat to dealer another 15 to the lake, boat them around to try and duplicate, while i already have pics and video of the unit. Not sure what a lake trip will help him with.? Anyways has anyone seen this problem before. I believe its a display head unit problem because everytihng still works perfect when this display is acting up. Thanks guys. Boat is a 06 211 Team Edition about 140 hrs on it.

I would try contacting PP directly. Their service is awesome and they always solve problems without you having to bring the boat to them (although I hear Nova Scotia is nice this time of year).

      how is the boat stored?

i ask because moisture can cause it to wig out. and you will not neccesarily see condensation on the inside of the gauge. buddy of ours has the same problem. if he leaves the boat covered, the PP gauge is not visible for a couple hours. no fog, condesation, etc, just not visible, like its not even on, but the PP still manages the speed correctly.

I have a display, if you need one. I will double check, but I think it is exactly the same. I had Perfect pass in my 2007 220 before I went to Zero-Off.

I store it outside but under a car port. I let it air out for a few days then try to get the cover on it. Sometimes i'll not cover it at all during the week, but its always under the car port. Humidity is high here and temps get to 95 100 degrees. Very well could be moisture, but i wouldnt think humidity would cause it. I'll check and see how exposed all that stuff is under that dash.
