I have a year 2001 SAN which I have not had out yet this year. Today I hooked it up to the fake a lake and started the motor. It took me about 90 seconds to properly adjust the fake a lake so the impellor was sucking in most of the water from the hose. During that 90 seconds only a small amount of water was being sucked in and a small amount was coming out the exhaust.

My question is do you thing I melted my rubber impellor during the 90 seconds it was getting very little water? Anyone have a similar experience?

The exaust is the last thing to get water 90 seconds won't toast a impeller unless it is already on its last leg or is old

the original poster was asking about changing the impeller on a non-serp v-drive, does anyone have any input or experience with that? i've searched on here a bit for a previous thread about it, but didnt come up with much ... is it easiest to just take the entire pump off? from the looks of my 03, that was my initial thought
