    2003 210 Super Air Back Cooler

    I have a 2003 210 sup air and the cooler that is in the cockpit on the side of the boat right in front of the cups holders has been giving me a headache.

    I dont like how it is a cushion and then another panel you lift off to get into it. Has anyone made this one piece? Has anyone hinged it? Any help pics etc.

    I installed the hinge they put on the 2004 and later seat cushion, but I have not tried to hinge the cooler cover. I didn't like the seat sliding around if someone was sitting on it. I would think it would be easy enough to just screw the cooler cover to the seat from the bottom side so when you lift up the seat the cover comes with it. It doesn't really bother me so I've just left it.

    I saw your earlier post about getting the insert for that cooler. If you really want it to hold ice for any real amount of time you will have to insulate the seat base. It is just an open cavity. I put some of that expanding spray foam in mine, but it's still not full. It took 4 cans to fill it halfway and I stopped because that stuff is expensive and I wasn't even sure if it would help at the time. It has made a difference in how long the ice stays there though. The rear cooler above the v-drive is useless. It acts as a heater because of the engine. I just use it as a convenient trash can.

      cooler seat

      i agree with that statement. Can you post pictures of the cooler hinge? Iwould like to see how its done.

        It's nothing more than a big piano hinge and a few cords to keep it from opening too far.

          I would like to do that to my 03 SANTE. Did you get those parts from a dealer?

            Yes, dealer item, but you could probably find something similar to it at a local hardware store as well.

              thanks i like that it looks really good. I just want to have the cooler lid atached to the seat cushion too. How much did that hardward cost you?
